Event Details

Hi folks- Miguel Zapata’s Mestizo cuisine was a huge hit last week. I wanted to take this week off, but after getting a few requests, we decided to do a special tasting menu this Monday, June 20, featuring a Rabbit Mixiote with Refried Beans, Avocado Leaves and Exquistes Corn Salad. We’ll start with Quail Eggs in Tlahuíca Sauce, then have a Zucchini and Corn Soup, and for dessert Plantains in Cacao Sauce. This is a very special menu. Mixiote is an ancient cooking technique found in many indigenous cultures where meats and vegetables are wrapped and slow-cooked over hot stones. We’ll pull out the tables and chairs for this one, and Fred Boette will be performing an intimate concert on classical guitar. It’s sure to be a memorable night. So, for the curious ones and those who missed last week, please come join us this Monday June 20th at 8pm. It’s $40 + BYOB. Thanks to everyone for your continued support and encouragement. See you soon. Jeremy at the ghet www.ghetto-gourmet.com
